- Frank Funke returns to Petersen Motorsports/White Lightning Racing for his second season in the American Le Mans Series. Now working with the Ferrari F430 GT and longtime friend Tomas Enge, Funke has one season of professional sports car racing under his belt to go-along with his impressive success in open wheel racing. He continues in open wheel engineering the Swiss entry in the A1GP championship.
- Joined Petersen Motorsports/White Lightning Racing at the 12 Hours of Sebring. Working closely with drivers and the team, Funke would help engineer the Porsche to victories at Lime Rock, Road America and Petit Le Mans. His efforts helped the Petersen/White Lightning effort earn its second straight ALMS Driver Championship and IMSA Cup Championship in the GT2 class. He also was a head engineer in the A1GP Series.
- Engineered driver Jarek Janis to second in the Italian Formula 3000 championship with two victories. Was engineer for two IndyCar Series races for Panther Racing and five races of the Formula Nippon Championship. Acted as engineer for driver Tomas Enge in the A1 GP entry for the Czech Republic.
- Earned both the Formula Renault 2000 Euro-Series, with six victories, and the German Formula Renault 2000 Championship, with five wins, as engineer for Scott Speed. Worked as engineer for Thomas Enge in the International Formula 3000 championship.
