Sebastien Constans joined Petersen/White Lightning at the start of the 2007 American Le Mans Series season as data acquisition specialist. His knowledge of the sport and technology moved him quickly into an assistant engineer role helping to determine setup and assisting Dale White and Frank Funke in race strategy. Prior to the 12 Hours of Sebring, Constans had worked with J-Lowe Racing/The Racer’s Group as Setup Engineer at the 24 At Daytona finishing third. In 2006, he worked as race engineer and data acquisition specialist for Fastmetal. He worked for Petersen/White Lightning competitor Flying Lizard Motorsports as Setup Engineer and technical director assistant from 2004-2005. Worked as the Simulation Engineer for Stone Brothers Racing in 2003 winning the Australian V8 Supercar Championship with driver Marcos Ambrose. Constans also helped Orleans Racing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in the area of suspension development the same season. In 2001, Constans was the engineer for Bouhier Engineering developing a two-seat, roadster fitted with a motorbike Hayabusa 1300GSXR engine. He entered the world of motorsports in his native France in 1999 as a mechanic for Team SDA in the Super Touring Championship.

Constans, who is single and lives in Colorado, enjoys the Rocky Mountains while snowboarding, hiking, biking, white water kayaking or sailing. He is also a passionate guitarist specializing in finger-style blues and bluegrass on acoustic guitar and early rock music on the electric guitar.
