Unique Note: Dirk Müller holds the record of consecutive class pole positions in the ALMS at eight dating from Sears Point, '99 to Silverstone, 2000. He has won the most in GT/GT2 class pole positions, 13 (entering the 2007 season).

Bio Brief
2007 - Dirk Müller joined Petersen Motorsports/White Lightning Racing after injuries to Tomas Enge (Czech Republic) sidelined the driver for two events. Müller immediately showed his speed by setting the fastest race lap in his return to the American Le Mans Series at Long Beach. He duplicated the feat again at Houston following a front row starting position. Was signed for the remainder of the season by the team but, due to previous commitments misses the fifth, sixth and final rounds of the championship to race in the FIA GT Championship for Ferrari. Driving for AF Corse Motorola in an F430 GT in FIA GT where he won the pole and the race in the series opener and took a second victory in round two. Müller and Enge join in the No. 31 beginning at Mid-Ohio. Ferrari factory driver.
2006 - Finished sixth in World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) with one win. BMW factory driver.
2005 - Finished second in the WTCC driving a BMW 320i to three wins. Earned second-place at the prestigious 24 Hours of Nürburgring driving a BMW M3 GTR. BMW factory driver.
2004 - Three wins in the European Touring Car Championship (ETCC) finishing second in the championship. Captured the 24 Hours of Nürburgring title and took a class win at the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. BMW factory driver.
2003 - Had two victories on his way to fifth in the ETCC title chase. BMW factory driver.
2002 - Fourth overall in the ETCC with three wins. His accomplishments with BMW earned him a Formula 1 test with BMW WilliamsF1 Team. BMW factory driver.
2001 - Took sixth in the GT (now GT2) class of the American Le Mans Series driving the BMW M3 GTR. He had one victory (Sears Point). Signed as a BMW factory driver.
2000 - Won the American Le Mans Series GT (now GT2) driver championship with victories at the 12 Hours of Sebring, Nürburgring, Sears Point and Adelaide. Won six class pole positions (half the events) including at the first three events. Porsche factory driver.
1999 - Finished second at the 24 At Daytona, GT2 class. Finished fourth in his debut in the ALMS at the 12 Hours of Sebring and won the GT class of the Petit Le Mans. Finished second at his premiere in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Porsche factory driver.
1998 - Won the Porsche Carrera Cup with four victories. Made his endurance racing debuted by finishing second in the 24 At Daytona driving a Porsche GT1. Made several "guest" starts in the Porsche Supercup.
1997 - Joined the Porsche Junior Team. Had one victory and finished fifth in the Porsche Carrera Cup.
1996 - Competed in the first half of the German Formula 3 Championship before a sponsor withdrawal left him with no funding and one victory.
1995 - Made sporadic appearances in the Formula Opel Euroseries and started his first Formula 3 race. His start- Müller began racing karts in 1989. By 1991 he had finished third in the ADAC Pop Cart Championship. The following season he moved to cars but continued his strong performances finishing second in the Formula König open wheel series. In 1993, he again finished second in the Formula König but now with four victories. He split the '93 season by racing a limited number of events in the German Formula Opel series finishing 12th in the championship. In 1994, he took two victories in German Formula Opel finishing third in the championship.

Outside the Cockpit
Müller is a dedicated racer but enjoys his time away from the car. His hobbies include jogging, fitness training and golf. He is also a very dedicated father. When not racing he is at his adopted home in Monaco with his wife Daniela and daughter Mina Emily.
