2007- Lucas Luhr returns to Petersen Motorsports/White Lightning Racing for the fourth-time in his illustrious career. Makes his 2007 debut in the American Le Mans Series sharing the No. 31 Ferrari F430 GT with Peter Dumbreck (Scotland/Adderbury, England) and Dirk Müller (Germany/Monaco) at the Petit Le Mans. Returns two weeks later to drive in the Monterey Sports Car Championships with Dumbreck. Drove in his fourth 24 Hours of Le Mans, his first in the LMP1 class, driving the Audi R10 falling out early. Races the factory-supported Team Rosberg Audi A4 DTM in the German Touring Car (DTM) Championship. Signed as Audi factory driver. 2006- Opened the American Le Mans Series season with a second-place in the 12 Hours of Sebring (LMP2). Three ALMS LMP2 victories (Salt Lake City, Mosport, Laguna Seca), seven other podium finishes and four pole positions. Won the ALMS LMP2 Class Championship. Won the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. Earned a third-place in the 24 At Daytona. Porsche factory driver. 2000- Entered in his first 12 Hours of Sebring, 24 Hours of Le Mans, 1000km of Nürburgring and ALMS race at Australia winning all four events. Finished second in ALMS GT class points with four wins in 11 starts. Porsche factory driver. 1999- Raced in the Porsche Carrera Cup with the Porsche Junior Team winning three races and the Championship. Signed as Porsche factory driver. His start- A second generation driver, Luhr got his start in karts at an early age in his native Germany. From 1989 to 1995, Luhr won four championships in Europe. In that time he raced as the factory driver for two different karting manufacturers. Moving to cars in ’96, Luhr raced open wheel Formula Fords across Europe and earned a Formula-Opel victory at Hockenheim for Eiffeland Racing. In 1997, Luhr made the move into German Formula 3. He remained in the series in ’98 taking eighth in the season title chase with one victory. This success drew Porsche’s eye to Luhr and he was signed a to the UPS Porsche Junior team for the ’99 season.

One of the most popular and successful drivers in ALMS history, Luhr spends most of his time in Germany working with Audi. While not competing, he enjoys running, playing golf, fishing and cycling. He lives in Ermatingen, Switzerland with his wife Claudia, daughter Georgiana and son Gianluca.
